Man of the Match: Ashley Beckham (Shocking)
Clown of the Match: Chris
Another convincing scoreline see the mighty Coburg go marching on.
the first half wasn't brilliant but in fairness we completely dominated and they didn't have a shot on goal. the midfiled were superb as ever and when we passed the ball we looked dangerous. Chris secured the clown of the match for two reasons, the first being an open goal he missed after good work down the right. he connected ok but the ball went sideways back into the stranded goalkeepers arms! the second was for the diving header, although he did well to make contact and get the effort on target he still looked like a dying swan on its final flight!!!
The first goal was all down to the determination of Dan who chased a hopeless ball and after a mix up in the defence he beat the keeper to it and slotted it away.
so 1-0 at half time and Morety proceded to give us amotivational bollocking fresh out of the roy keane managers guidebook. but it did the trick as we then scored 8 goals in the second half.
Bradley was superb in midfield as usual (with 3 assists and a domination of the centre mid, how he wasn't man of the match i'll never know :) but i suppose he has set himself high standards to be judged by), Josh was commanding in goal, the defence was solid and the wingers and strikers were destructive. the only person who we can really criticise is Baker who still did ok, but after 25 minutes of the second half he jogged over to me and asked me to pass it to him as he couldn't remember touching it!! lol.
i cannot remember the order of goals but in summary chris got a hat trick including two mis hits, levi scored two tap ins, malcy got smashed in the face from a corner but luckily the ball flew in to the back of the net and after a glorious assist from the captain sam actually hit the target for a change and managed to get a goal. the last one was a little dubious, baker got his head to a corner and after deflecting off a defender ended in the back of the net. he was trying to claim it but after discussions with the manager it has been put down as an own goal.
although the scoreline was quite emphatic their keeper deserves a lot of credit!! he pulled off a wonder save from a volley i hit from two yards out, he also saved a pile driver from chris and he made numerous other saves to keep the score down.
and lastly the man of the match award. oh dear oh dear what can i say. i have a feeling this was awarded by the manager after pressure from the boardroom. we obviously have an equal opportunities quota and i think that they had decided we had to award the motm to one of our 'special' players. lol. but in fairness, ash did run the line, he has now introduced two cheerleaders to the club (welcome to his missus and welcome back ash's nan) and when he came on he ran around trying to break a sweat so good effort m8.
if i have offended anyone i'l say sorry when i mean it.
well done lads lets take it forward next week so we can put the bembridge inbreds back in their place. we are now on one defeat a piece with pan so plenty to play for. we want to be champions!!!"
